Solar energy driven IPTV

Earlier this month, Baze Technology made the switch to solar energy. By covering the entire roof of our office building in Porsgrunn, Norway, with 200 solar panels, we can now produce 75KWp at peak.

The result is fantastic. Just nine days into production, the solar panels had produced 1,52MWh. That is enough power to power our entire data warehouse and more. In fact, there have been days when we, at times, were 100% self-sustained with energy production. Annually, 20% of the total power consumption is to be covered by own solar energy production.

Baze encourages our employees to drive zero-emission cars. Ten charging stations for electric vehicles are available for free use. Electric cars have zero-emission in use, and when you can add solar energy to the energy mix, the overall emission footprint is even better, says Tor-Egil Tinderholt, CEO of Baze Technology.

Baze´new rooftop solar park has 200 solar panels. Each panel has a max capacity of 375W. The PV panels are mounted 50% south and 50% north at a 26 degrees angle. Power is fed directly into consumption, and any excess power is sent into the grid.
