We have introduced a new set-top box model, CT-2191. The box itself has the same chassis and connectivity as the CT-2151, but there are several changes inside, as well as a new remote control.

CT-2191 is equipped with a new, price-winning remote control. Among the inside changes is 1080p resolution for the user interface for a sharper look in pictures and texts. 

The new remote control comes with multi TV IR support, meaning that you can control both STB and TV using only one remote control. We have made the bold choice not to have number pad on the remote control. The navigation in our applications is based on right-left-up-down arrows, and we trust this to be the best way.

The new set-top box CT-2191 supports 4K2K@60 (UHD) video content. It is powered by a high-performance HiSiliconHi3798M V200 64 bit quad-core ARM Cortex A53 processor resulting in improved performance. It supports both Linux and Android OS.


OTHER NEW EQUIPMENT

We are continually releasing new and improved models for BazePort equipment. The BazePort set-top box, as well as the Android TV sets supporting BazePort Android app, are very closely connected to our design and development of BazePort 8, but other hardware has also been released in newer models independent of software releases:

  • The BazePort Content Server is replacing BazePort IPTV VOD NAS as the add-on unit for BazePort IPTV setups that requires additional storage for on demand services, such as video on demand and recorded content.
  • The BazePort standalone IP radio Imperial Dabman i150 replaces the previous HAMA radio


For our BazePort Hospitality TV solution we are now also supporting the new TV models from the Philips PrimeSuite 4014 range.
